Carlos A. Chavez Pereda has been a member of Santos Elizondo since 2021, and specializes in the areas of Corporate and Transactional Law, Compliance, Banking and Finance, as well as in Energy and Infrastructure Projects. He holds a law degree from Universidad de Monterrey, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a Corporate Law specialization from Duke University.

He has advised national and foreign clients across several industries in commercial, financial and energy transactions, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, as well as in data privacy protection, AML and anti-corruption compliance in Mexico, among others.

He is a member of the Executive Committee of Santos Elizondo, where he serves as the director of the Compliance practice group. He also participates in the Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (Caintra), and in the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF).
