Luis Alonso Mendoza Garza joined Santos Elizondo in 1988. For 30 years, his practice has focused mainly on civil, commercial, criminal, administrative and family litigation. Additionally, he has participated in various commercial matters, as well as corporate legal advice.

Some of the clients he has represented are: Alfa, FEMSA, Arca Continental, TV Azteca, Tecnocom, Lamosa, Thomas & Betts, New Process Steel, Praxair, Dicex, S.A. de C.V., Grupo Acosta Verde, Enertec, S. De R.L. de C.V., SuKarne, S.A. de C.V., Pinturas Doal, S.A. de C.V., Praderas de la Huasteca, S. De R.L., Servicios de Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey, and Harimasa, S.A. de C.V. Mr. Mendoza Garza has successfully participated as legal counsel in a large number of high-profile disputes in Nuevo León and other states of the country.

In 2010, the Nuevo Leon Bar Association awarded Mr. Mendoza Garza with a recognition on the occasion of the celebration of the Lawyer's Day. He has been for several years an Associate of the Advisory Council of Law and Criminology of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. In 2012, the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León awarded him a recognition for excellence in professional development. From 1984 to 1987, Mr. Mendoza Garza served as Head of the Legal Department of the Tourism area and later, of the Financing area at Grupo Protexa. In 1987 and 1988, he held the position of Manager of the Drilling, Marine Works and Construction Area of Grupo Protexa. He has been a member of the boards of institutions such as Coparmex Nuevo León, Coparmex Nacional, Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey and Parque Ecológico Chipinque, A.C., as well as a member of the Nuevo León Bar Association and the Mexican Bar Association.

Mr. Luis Alonso Mendoza Garza obtained his law degree from the School of Law and Social Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 1979. In 1981, he obtained a master's degree in public finance from the School of Law of the University of Paris II, and in 1984, he completed his doctorate at the aforementioned School of Law. In 1986, Mr. Mendoza Garza graduated with a Master's Degree in Comparative Law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in the United States of America.
