Ramiro Villarreal de la Garza has been a member of Santos Elizondo, S.C. since 2012, and currently serves as the partner at the Real Estate Law practice group. He specializes in Real Estate, Corporate, and Transactional Law, covering both its contractual dimension and its administrative, regulatory, and litigation dimension.

He has advised domestic and foreign clients on numerous commercial transactions and real estate projects — including leases, purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements, trusts, and condominium regimes, among others — as well as on the internal organization and corporate governance of such clients. He has also represented multinational companies in their government affairs in Mexico, and has handled urban development, civil protection, and environmental matters before administrative authorities, including administrative proceedings and amparo trials. In the public sector, he has advised entities such as the Government of the State of Nuevo León and the Municipal Government of Monterrey, as well as Federal Representatives, Senators, and Local Representatives at The Nuevo Leon State Congress.

He has chaired the Real Estate Law Committee of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana de Abogados) and has served on the boards of the Monterrey Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Real Estate Owners, and the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Monterrey.

He was a professor at the Universidad de Monterrey and the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, where he taught the courses "Civil Contracts," "Commercial Contracts and Transactions," "Negotiable Instruments and Credit Transactions," "Business Associations," and "Amparo Proceedings". He has lectured at universities in Mexico and abroad on the negotiation of international transactions. He currently serves on the Board of the Universidad de Monterrey and on the Board of its Law School.

In 2011, he graduated with a law degree from the Universidad de Monterrey as part of its Honors Program, and in 2016 he completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.), where he received an academic merit scholarship.
