3April 13Agreement No. A/042/2022 by which the Energy Regulatory Commission orders the publication of the Draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-018-CRE-2022, Electrical Installations-National Transmission Network and General Distribution Networks-Safety Specifications.The Standard establishes the obligations and responsibilities of federal, state, municipal and private authorities to maintain the safety conditions contained in the design and construction of the facilities, after the construction and start-up of the electrical infrastructure to be incorporated into the National Transmission Grid and the General Distribution Grids of the National Electric System.
4April 18The Ministry of the Interior ("Segob") proposes the disappearance of the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change ("INECC"), as well as the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy ("CONUEE").Under the proposal, the activities of the INECC would be absorbed by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources ("SEMARNAT"), while the activities of the CONUEE will be transferred to the Ministry of Energy ("SENER").
